Sugarbush

Sugarbush, known in the early days as Mascara Mountain, was opened in 1958 by Damon and Sara Gadd and Jack Murphy. It quickly became an elite resort frequented by many celebrities including Oleg Casini, Kim Novak, the Kennedy clan and many others.
Over the years, Sugarbush Resort has grown and expanded. It now consists of the Lincoln Peak area (Sugarbush South), just 600 yards from The Bridges Resort, and the Mt. Ellen area (Sugarbush North, formerly Glen Ellen).
Sugarbush vacations offer a wide variety of activities. In winter, skiers and riders enjoy every type of terrain imaginable and many on-mountain amenities including the Castlerock Pub, Timbers Restaurant, music and special events.
Special services include cat skiing, a rarity in the East, mountain and outback tours, a terrain park, sunset groomer rides, and Remote Fireside Dining at Allyn’s Lodge.
Summer at Sugarbush Resort also offers many outdoor, on-mountain activities. Visitors enjoy a ride on the zip line, disc golf, lift served mountain biking, and golfing at the Sugarbush Golf Club designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr.
