Waitsfield
Waitsfield, Vermont is the heart of the Mad River Valley area. Bridge Street, in historic Waitsfield Village and the Irasville business district are the center of commerce in the Valley. On Bridge Street, in addition to the Great Eddy Covered Bridge, you’ll find a number of artisans and specialty shops.
Summer
On any Saturday during the summer and early autumn, the Mad River Green is filled with vendors and visitors to the Farmers’ Market. There, you’ll find fresh produce, local food, arts & crafts, music. It’s a social gathering like no other in the area.
If you need to cool off, find your favorite swimming hole or try tubing down the Mad River. Hungry? Try the many restaurants throughout the area. Some have outdoor dining so you can continue to enjoy the summer weather.
Autumn
The Farmers’ Market continues into foliage season. The event is surrounded by the natural beauty of the fall foliage. Autumn is a great season for biking and hiking. And don’t forget your camera!
Winter
Enjoy the natural snow and the historical Single Chair at Mad River Glen. Try figure skating or a pick up hockey game at the Skatium. Snowmobile on groomed trails or snowshoe through the woods and fields of Waitsfield.
