The Bridges is excited to be pairing up with Pawsitive Pantry, Inc. to offer the Dog Days of Summer Tennis Tournament and Auction! Pawsitive Pantry, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that was founded in 2009 to provide a safety net to help pets whose families have fallen on hard times. Pawsitive Pantry coordinates the donation, packing and distribution of dog and cat food and makes it available to those in need for free via local food shelves and pantries. What started out as a volunteer project for a few friends quickly grew into a vibrant network of volunteers and supporters responsible for the collection and bi-weekly delivery of over 1,500 pounds of dog and cat food to 14 area food shelves and pantries across central Vermont.
The on-line auction runs from August 1 – 15th, and includes items from Big Picture movie passes to Mad River glider rides to Sugarbush Golf passes to a 6 night African Safari! The Bridges is offering a three month fitness membership, while our own Josh Hanna and Jeff Ginnis are auctioning off tennis lessons. There’s something for everyone, not just tennis enthusiasts! Check it out at biddingowl.com.
The auction concludes with the tennis tournament here at The Bridges on Saturday, August 16th. The tournament fee is $75 per person. There will be random team matching and no ad scoring. Registration forms are available at The Bridges sports desk and online at pawsitivepantry.org.
