The Mad River Valley has four distinct seasons. There is always plenty to do and it’s tough to get bored here with so many different seasonal activities.

Spring & Summer

In the summer, the days aren’t long enough to squeeze in all the possible pleasures. Your No. 1 challenge will be planning your days — with The Bridges staff, standing by to help you. For children, there’s Camp Bridges and Champs, including supervised tennis, swimming, soccer, nature hikes, crafts, creative play and field trips.

The Bridges is consistently ranked among the 50 Greatest U.S. Tennis Resorts by Tennis Magazine, and we offer a variety of weekend and week-long clinics and camps. Next door, Sugarbush offers golf, hiking and mountain biking. In the area, there is fly fishing, soaring, canoeing, kayaking, bicycling tours, horseback riding, antique shops, music festivals, polo matches, theater, and so much more.

Autumn

Come and experience the vivid color and beauty of Mother Nature’s grand finale. Everywhere you turn you see a vibrant display of colors and textures worthy of a canvas.

Pumpkin Harvest in the Mad River Valley

Whether you enjoy tennis, hiking, biking, golfing, canoeing, festivals or shopping, get yourself outside and take advantage of the last warm days of the season. Check out the apple and pumpkin harvest from our local farmers. Experience country fairs that you have only read about in Yankee Magazine or Vermont Life. Enjoy the brisk fresh air that you breathe in as you sit atop nearby Lincoln Peak and look out over Lake Champlain and the mighty Adirondacks in nearby New York.
