Vacation in the Heart of Vermont Ski Country
Vermont is where the world celebrates winter and The Bridges Family Resort & Tennis Club is located in the heart of it all!. Nestled in Vermont's Mad River Valley, we are located only a few minutes from the finest ski and snowboarding terrain east of the Rockies.
Sugarbush Ski Area
Sugarbush, offering the three highest skiable peaks at one resort in the East, has 115 trails over 486 acres with 2,650 vertical feet, served by 17 lifts — including four high-speed detachables — and the finest snowmaking system in the region. From your condominium door, the ski lifts at Sugarbush are just one-third of a mile away — less than five minutes on our complimentary shuttle. Annual snowfall: 262"
Mad River Glen Ski Area
A 15 minute drive along Rt. 17 is the legendary Mad River Glen — the "Ski It If You Can" mountain, famous for its single chair lift and ungroomed challenges.
Stowe Ski Area
45 minutes North of The Bridges Family Resort, on Rt. 100, is Stowe, the epitome of classic Eastern trail skiing.
Killington Ski Area
Killington is a 45 minute drive South on Route 100. It is the East's largest ski resort, with six interconnected mountains and two gondolas.
Cross Country Skiing and More!
For more winter fun, the beautiful Mad River Valley offers more than 100 km of groomed cross-country trails at three local centers, including Ole's, Blueberry Lake, and Inn at The Round Barn Farm. There's ice skating at the Skatium in Waitsfield, sleigh rides at the Vermont Icelandic Horse Farm and Lareau Farm Country Inn, snow shoeing, and snowmobiling.
Sugarbush has a children's ski and snowboard school, plus evening activities such as fireworks, tubing, and ski movie showings, often with appearances by local ski heroes.
The Bridges Family Resorts' vacation planners can assist you with all the arrangements for creating a memorable Vermont family vacation.
